Warranty Information

LIMITED WARRANTY

REQUIRED TO OBTAIN WARRANY SERVICE.
Please have the following information available when you call the Service Department:

– Name, Address and Telephone Number
– Model Number
– Clear detailed description of the problem
– Proof of purchase and Certificate of Compliance (COC) by certified gas installer.

IF YOU NEED SERVICE:
1. Before contacting us to arrange service, please determine whether your product requires repair. Some questions can
be addressed without service. Please take a few minutes to review the instruction manual included with your product.
2. All warranty service is provided exclusively by our authorized Delonghi Service Providers. In South Africa, direct all

FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

WHAT IS COVERED

WHAT IS NOT COVERED
(applicable to extended Warranty as well)

For the first 36 month from the date of purchase, when this
appliance is installed, operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, Delonghi Cookers SA, will pay for factory specified replacements parts
and repair labor to correct defects in MATERIALS or
WORKMANSHIP that existed when the appliance was
purchased, or at its sole discretion replace the product.

In the event of product replacement, your appliance will be warranted for the remaining term of the original unit’s warranty period.

From month 37 – 60, Delonghi Cookers SA, will pay for factory
specified replacements parts and repair labor to correct
defects in MATERIALS or WORKMANSHIP that existed when the appliance was purchased, but a labour charge of R150.00 incl. VAT, will be payable by the customer for every new fault that is reported during this period.

This extended warranty specifically excludes replacement of normal wear and tear parts- including but not limited to- fuses, light bulbs, ignitors, safety devices, starters, filters, cables, plugs and any damage caused by external and environmental
factors.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS
LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR, AS
PROVIDED HEREIN.

Service will be provided at your residence or if necessary, at Delonghi Cookers SA Head
Office in Pretoria, Gauteng. This limited warranty is valid only in South Africa and applies only when the appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. This limited warranty is effective from the date of original consumer purchase. Proof of
original purchase is required to obtain any service under this
limited warranty.

1. Commercial, non-residential, multiple family use, or use inconsistent with published user, operator and installer instructions.

2. In-home instruction on how to use your product.


3. Service to correct improper product maintenance or installation, installation not in accordance with electrical or gas installation codes or correction of household electric connection (i.e. house wiring, fuses).

4. The Limited Warranty will cover glass thermal breakage only and will not cover misuse of the stove glass, including but not limited to:
a. Glass that is struck, has surface contaminates or has had harsh or
abrasive cleaners used on it.
b. If the door is slammed or is closed thus striking the glass

5. Consumable parts (i.e. lights bulbs, ignitors, safety devices, regulators etc.)

6. Conversation of products from L.P. gas to natural gas.

7. Damage from accident, misuse, abuse, fire, floods, acts of God or use with products not approved by Delonghi.

8. Repairs to parts or systems to correct product damage caused by unauthorized service, alteration or modification of the appliance.

9. Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, chips and other damage to the appliance finishes unless such damage results with defects in materials and workmanship and is reported to Delonghi within 30days of purchase.

10. Discoloration, rust or oxidation of surfaces resulting from caustic or corrosive environmental factors, including but not limited to high salt concentrations, high moisture or humidity or exposure to chemicals.

11. Food or medicine loss due to product failure.

12. Pick-up or delivery. This product is intended for inhome repair.

13. Travel or transportation expenses for service in remote locations where an authorized Delonghi technician is not available.

14. Removal or reinstallation of inaccessible appliances or built-in fixtures (i.e. trim, decorative panels, flooring, cabinetry, islands, countertops, drywall etc.)

that interfere with servicing, removal or replacement of the product.

15. Service or parts for appliances with original model/serial numbers removed or altered. The cost of repair or replacement and labour under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by the customer.

DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO ONE YEAR OR THE SHORTEST PERIOD ALLOWED BY LAW. This warranty gives you specific rights, however they vary from province to province and may not be applicable to you.

DISCLAIMER OF REPRESENTATIONS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY

Delonghi Cookers SA makes no representations about the quality, durability, or need for service or repair of this major appliance other than the representations contained in this warranty. If you would like a longer more comprehensive warranty than the limited warranty that comes with this appliance you will obtain and extended warranty plan from an external service provider at your own cost.

LIMITATION OF REMEDIES; EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR AS APPROVED HEREIN. DELONGHI COOKERS SA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
